About the Call for Projects
H-GAC invites local governments, transportation agencies, and project sponsors
to submit transportation improvement projects for inclusion in the
2050 Regional Transportation Plan (RTP). Submitted projects will be
screened using GIS-based indicators and evaluated against the RTP scoring framework
by H-GAC staff. Project scores and prioritization will be reviewed by the Evaluation Committee,
with final approval subject to the Transportation Policy Council (TPC) and applicable regional policy guidance.
The app automatically populates project context from regional GIS layers — including
roadway inventory, crash history, congestion data, freight network designations,
railroad crossings, bridge inventory, FEMA floodplains, resilience indicators,
and vulnerable population data — to support the screening process.
